What Happens During Your Site Visit
You cannot price groundwork accurately from a satellite photo. North West plots often sit on heavy, moisture-retentive clay, and every property has different damp-proof course heights and drainage falls. When you book a visit with Insight PS, here is how we handle it:
Checking Levels, Soil & Drainage
We measure the exact square metreage, check your brick damp-proof course levels, and plan where surface water will run. For front driveways over 5 square metres, we check that runoff complies with SuDS rules using linear ACO channel drains, permeable joints, or soakaways so water never pools or runs onto the highway.
Written, Itemised Quotation
We send you a clear written quote detailing the full job: dig-out depth (typically 200mm to 250mm for driveways), geotextile membrane, compacted MOT Type 1 hardcore, concrete edge haunching, chosen surface materials, and licensed muck-away spoil removal.
Booked Start Date & Tidy Execution
If you are happy to go ahead, we book a firm start date. Most residential driveways and patios take between 3 and 7 working days depending on size and weather. We coordinate skip deliveries, protect lawns with boards, suppress cutting dust, and sweep down daily.
